First tracklist update!

As promised, here is a full track-list featuring all the tracks I've posted.

Cassius - The Sound Of Violence (Tha Trickaz Remix)

Pretty Lights - Electro Cali

Beats Antique - Battle

Bionic Commando - Rusko remix

Mimosa - Kinetic

Mimosa - Lullabyte

Under the sea

Mimosa is an artist out of Los Angeles that frequently shows us the lighter side of dubstep with his tracks that aim less for brutality and more towards a smooth and peaceful ride through a still pretty badass soundscape. Mimosa is a really unique experience that I enjoy so much I'm going to post TWO tracks.

Kinetic is a track that makes me think I am in an underwater rave with a bunch of sexy mermaids. I can't guarantee the same experience for you but either way it's a dope beat that will ease your stressed out head and induce chilling. Check it.

On dubstep: How to win

This is a great track. Only the great Rusko could take this 8-bit antique and turn it into one of my favorite beats right now. His use of arbitrary clicks and buzzes keeps the song exiting and fresh with epic harmonies taking the song into the many shiphting phases and drops. Word.

And now for something completely different!

Beats Antique is an experimental group formed in San Fransisco features eastern twang matched with wonderfully composed kicks and snares to provide a fly Egyptian experience for your listening pleasure.

Electrodub?

Today we'll have the honor of listening to a track from the American artist Derek Vincent Smith AKA Pretty Lights. I for one LOVE his use of old timey samples mixed with main themes that are both thrilling and chilling. this track entitled Electro Cali is a fantastic example of this. This is a direction that I hope more artists turn towards, not to undermine Smith's unique style. Wherever life takes you, Pretty Lights will be a perfect fit for all your grooving needs.

First official post

Welcome to Shipht electronic music commentary! This blog will be dedicated to posting tracks that define and raise the bar for their respective genres. I don't really like to place that much significance on genres because I feel like it is easy to digress and forget about the music. That being said I have split the blog into a few of my favorite genres and also provided an "other" category where I will often be posting my favorite electronic music that is difficult to place in a "genre". Other than that there is really not that much to say, I appreciate your initial and continued support!

So now onto the tunes! Here is a remix mixed by Tha Trickaz of The Sound of Violence by Cassius. This one promises a smile and a head bang from the punchy sampling that Tha Trickaz is known for. I dare you to hold still for this mind-blowing neural bass massage.
CAUTION: Sexual themes & thrilling hot eargasms
